The filler is not derived from animals, and is created in a laboratory setting.

Perlane:

Often used to fill deeper wrinkles and for adding volume to the cheeks, Perlane is a dense filler that has a heavier molecular weight. The particles not only are heavier, but they are larger in size which is what makes it so effective for use in deep wrinkles. This filler typically lasts up to six months. It can also be used as a lip plumper.

Emervel:

Emervel is a filler that can be used to fill facial lines, contouring and adding volume to the face. It can also be used as a lip enhancer. It comes in various levels of firmness depending on which variation of the filler is used. The size of the molecules varies for different injection locations. The filler can also be used with lidocaine to make the injection less painful.
