Chin Augmentation is used to improve chin projection, width, and fullness. The chin is an often overlooked part of the face, but it is actually very important when considering facial balance and proportion. Chin augmentation can be done as a stand alone procedure or in conjunction with other facial procedures, such as rhinoplasty surgery.
The chin can be augmented with either hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm®Voluma™, or with fat harvested from your own tissues. For more significant augmentation, silicone implants can be used.
Silicone implants can be be inserted via an incision hidden inside the mouth, or via an external incision under the chin.
When using a silicone implant, Dr. Pirani will sculpt the implant to provide you with the best fit and contour to match your anatomy and aesthetic goals.
