What Can Fillers Help Fix?
Soft tissue fillers are used to fill in small lines and creases caused by aging in order to restore a more youthful appearance and smooth the skin.
Injected below the skin, they can plump up wrinkles and sunken areas or add fullness to the cheeks and lips. They can be used alone or combined with a skin resurfacing technique for improved results. While many potential uses, fillers are most commonly put to the following purposes:
Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift
Purpose: To restore lost volume in the eyebrow and upper eyelid area.
Filler(s) used: Restylane
As we age, lost volume in the eye area can lead to drooping of the eye brows, loose skin around the eyelids, and a hollow, sunken appearance. In order to reverse this aging process, small injections of filler is used to raise the eyebrows and plump up loose skin. A great non-surgical alternative to traditional eyelifts, this procedure provides a subtle, natural improvement for those unable or unwilling to go under the knife.
Treating Dark Circles
Purpose: Restore a youthful appearance by hiding dark circles below the eyes.
Filler(s) used: Restylane
The same volume loss that causes drooping of the eyelids and sunken, hollow looking eyes can also cause dark circles to form under the eyes. For most patients, this develops as we age but some may develop the condition quite young.
In order to counter the aging effect of dark circles, this non-surgical procedure uses small injections of filler to plump up the skin under the eyes, giving them a more youthful and fresh appearance.
Liquid Facelift
Purpose: Plump up sunken areas and smooth wrinkles and lines caused by aging.
Filler(s) used: Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse
Often used in conjunction with Botox treatments, this procedure involves injected sunken areas of the face with various fillers to restore youthful plumpness and remove fine lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions. Laugh lines and crow’s feet can be smoothed out before Botox is used to prevent recurrence.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
Purpose: Correct minor irregularities of the nose for a more flattering, symmetrical appearance.
Filler(s) used: Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse
A great option for people who prefer not to undergo surgery, this procedure involves using injections of fillers to smooth out features such as nasal humps or restore balance to a misaligned or crooked nose. Quick and simple, it provides a more subtle result than surgical procedures but can be an effective options for minor issues.
