4 Ways to Get Rid of Aging On Hands

 In Hand Rejuvenation

Cosmetic surgery options such as facelifts and tummy tucks have become common techniques used to reverse the signs of aging on a person’s body, but until recently, a person’s hands would still usually exhibit the tell-tale signs of the aging process.

Aging On Hands

Luckily there are now several new techniques that have evolved to combat the signs of aging on the hand area; one of the body parts that middle aged and elderly people are usually the unhappy with.

The Toronto Plastic Surgery Center is examining four of the leading techniques employed within the field of cosmetic medicine!

1. Hand Lifts

Hand lifts are a relatively new technique originally developed in California. The technique involves adding volume to the first layer of skin using dermal filler such as Juvederm.

As part of the hand lift process, the surgeon may decide to remove sun spots from the hand using a combination of fillers, intense pulsed light and CO2 laser resurfacing.

2. Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy, or spider vein treatment, is designed to help remove unsightly veins that are often a sign of thinning skin as a result of the aging process. The treatment involves the use of either intense-pulsed light or a sclerosis solution, which is delivered to the veins.

The sclerosis solution works to collapse the veins, thereby lessening their prominence on the skin. The leading benefits of this procedure are that it quickly provides patients with the appearance of youthful looking skin on their hands and it removes the symptoms associated with spider veins.

3. Fraxel Laser

Many doctors are now utilizing the Fraxel laser to remove the signs of wrinkling and discoloration on the patient’s hands. The latest model of the Fraxel laser has been designed to remodel the dermal collagen in the second layer of the skin to tighten itand remove fine lines. It’s a treatment thousands of patients are now turning to in order to resolve their hand skin challenges.

4. Thermage

Thermage is a treatment through which the patient’s skin can be tightened, reducing fat on the hands and stimulating the production of collagen. One of the great benefits of choosing thermage as a treatment is that there is no discomfort for the patient during or after the procedure. And the procedure can be completed in one appointment at the doctor’s office.
